Ron Hodgson
Ron attended the NAIT Business Program and took his flair for business and love of cars and turned it into two thriving businesses, Ron Hodgson Pontiac Buick GMC and Southgate Pontiac Buick GMC Hummer. Both are family owned car dealerships that have spanned three generations over a period of thirty years. Ron is also a partner in Castrol Raceway and many other businesses.
Besides his successful businesses, Ron has also been very active in the sports and healthcare communities over the years. His passion for sports resulted in Ron acting as president for the World Firefighter Games Foundation and the Edmonton International Law Enforcement Games Foundation. Ron was also a Director of the EIG, the group that helped keep the Edmonton Oilers in Edmonton. His commitment to healthcare in Alberta inspired Ron to take on the role of Founding Chairman for the fund raising committee for STARS North, as well as providing the Foundation with leadership on the campaign for Prostate Health and being a member of the Board since 2003.
Ron’s lifelong interest in cars, especially race cars, resulted in his induction to the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2001. He lives in St. Albert with his wife Bernie. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
