Maureen McCaw
Maureen McCaw is the founder of Criterion Research Corporation, one of Alberta’s most respected businesses. She is an entrepreneur and business professional who is well-known for her solid leadership.
After selling Criterion to Leger Marketing in 2005 and managing a successful transition, Maureen has continued to support the community in a variety of board and committee roles. She has served on an eclectic list of boards and advisory committees that includes the Citadel Theatre, the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Women Building Futures, the Canadian Survey Research Council and was Past Chair of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. In the corporate world, she sits on the Petro-Canada Board as a member of the Corporate Governance and Pensions Committees.
Maureen is currently the Senior Research Lead on contract to Calder Bateman Communications, supporting the Alberta Brand initiative with the Public Affairs Bureau of the Government of Alberta. She has provided excellent advice and counsel through her role as Communications Chair of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women campaign.
With more than 20 years of experience serving clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, it’s no wonder that in 2003 Maureen was named a Woman of Vision by Global TV. The following year, she was named one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People by Venture magazine.
