Dale Sheard

Dale Sheard is the President and owner of Cavarzan Inc., a private financial investment firm. Dale is currently the Past Chair of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation and the Chair of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women campaign.
Dale's professional career spanned three decades in the Information Technology field. As the co-owner of a software company started up in the early 1980's her responsibilities as Vice President included financial management, human resources and administration. After the company went public in 1995, Dale created Cavarzan Inc. and immersed herself in financial management, various volunteer roles and furthering her education.
Dale initially studied Corporate Governance in 2002 through the Schulich School of Business affiliated with York University. She has been continuing her education in Corporate Governance through the Institute of Corporate Directors which is affiliated with the University Of Alberta School Of Business and the Rotman School of Business.
In 2005, she completed her Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University with a focus on Public Relations and Communications. Her MBA thesis earned a $10,000 award from the University for "best representing the spirit of an entrepreneur with a philanthropic nature." (She donated the award to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.)
In 2006, Dale received an Award of Distinction from Capital Health for her work as Chair of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women Campaign.
Dale supports several charities in the community, with a focus on health care and the care of teenagers. Since 1991, she has also been the proud sponsor of several children in various parts of the world through the Foster Parents plan.
