Lois Stefaniuk
Lois Stefaniuk has a very long history with the Royal Alex Hospital. She started out as a General Duty Nurse on a surgery unit and then moved on to management as a Unit Manager and Patient Care Director.
In 2000 Lois was appointed as Senior Operating Officer (Redevelopment) at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. In this role, she takes on site leadership for redevelopment projects, working with program and department staff to translate operational needs into design and construction. Whether it's the renovation of old spaces or the development of new ones, Lois provides solid leadership. In addition to her role as Senior Operating Officer, Lois is also a member of the RAH Senior Management team.
Over the years Lois has been involved with many of the big changes that we have seen at the Royal Alex. Lois has managed the development of ten new operating rooms, emergency department expansion, day medicine clinics and of course the huge Robbins Pavilion, the Royal Alex's largest expansion to date.
In her spare time, Lois enjoys a fun game of golf or a long walk for exercise and relaxation. She lives in Edmonton with her husband and has two married children living in Edmonton and Calgary.
