Joe Thompson
Joe Thompson earned his B.Sc in Civil Engineering at Clarkson University in New York in 1956. Since 1967, he has been with the PCL Construction Group, where he currently serves as Chairman.
Joe served on the Board from 1996 to 1999 and returned to the Foundation's Board room in 2005. He has served on a variety of the Board's committees, including the Major Gifts committee. In addition to his time with the Foundation, Joe has also sat on the boards of the University of Alberta Business Advisory Council, TransCanada Pipelines, Nova Chemicals, Eleven Engineering, the Canadian Construction Association and the United Way of Edmonton.
Joe has been a generous donor to the Foundation through the Joe and Nancy Thompson Fund, contributing personal gifts over the years. Joe is currently chair of the Leadership Committee for the Lois Hole Hospital for Women as well as the Campaign Cabinet for the Campaign for Prostate Health.
