Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation Unveils New Donor Wall

What makes a great hospital exceptional? One reason is the generosity of its donors.
The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation's Donor Wall is a public recognition of the organizations and individuals who have helped to build this great hospital. Located in the main lobby of the Royal Alexandra Hospital on Kingsway, it garners attention from hospital staff, patients and visitors.
Earlier this year, the Foundation made some organizational changes to its stewardship program and realized that the Donor Wall needed some renovations. Thanks to the generosity of the community over the years, it also needed an expansion! To complement the existing Donor Wall, a second wall has been unveiled across from the Foundation office in the main lobby of the Active Treatment Centre of the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Future plans for the Donor Wall include a touch screen information console that will be the centrepiece of the main Donor Wall. It will provide visitors with dynamic multimedia information about the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Foundation.
As the Donor Wall was being revamped, the Foundation also created the 1900 Society. Community support laid the foundation for healthcare excellence in this city when volunteers built and opened the Edmonton Community Hospital in 1900. Shortly after, it was renamed the Royal Alexandra Hospital. This original community spirit and sense of purpose led the Foundation to create the 1900 Society, a club whose members are the patrons and donors to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation recognizes all donations which enhance this hospital and welcomes all of our donors to The 1900 Society.
