Share Your Story

Some health topics can be particularly difficult to discuss—but they shouldn't be. The fact is, these taboos can often stand in the way of care.

Our goal is to better understand and ultimately remove the taboos around these topics, such as menstrual irregularity, painful periods, pelvic floor issues, and more. By doing so, we will be better able to guide women's health care and health research and improve health outcomes.

We want to hear your story around 'taboo' topics in women's health.

  • Have you or someone you know had difficulty in discussing any of the topics above with a physician?

  • Have you or someone you know felt unable to raise a health concern out of fear of judgment or embarrassment?

  • Have you or someone you know had a health concern worsen because it went unmentioned?

If you are open to sharing we'd love to hear from you. Please fill out the form below and we will be in touch.

Important note: the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation (and by extension the Alberta Women's Health Foundation) will never share your information and we will not publish your information or story without your permission.

Thank you for your willingness to share.
