On September 12th, 2024, guests, sponsors, and hosts of Harvest Celebration 2024 gathered at Volvo Cars Edmonton to show their shared support for the Lois Hole Hospital for Women and commitment to driving women’s health forward.  

The special VIP event was electric, filled with warmth and enthusiasm from a community of supporters. It was a true celebration of generosity and leadership, all in support of women’s health. 

Sharlene Rutherford, President, and CEO of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation shared a message of sincere gratitude to all in attendance.  

“Thank you for your commitment to our hospital and to the Harvest. To our Harvest Host Families, to all our incredible sponsors, and especially to Volvo Cars Edmonton, thank you. You’re going to get us there. You’re going to get us there in confidence. You’re going to get us there in style. Thank you for Driving Women’s Health Forward.” 

The event also kicked off the first-ever Harvest Celebration silent auction. The auction is full of incredible prizes including a tropical Maui getaway, two collaborative custom paintings created by Lois Hole Hospital patients, nurses, and hospital staff and so much more! The auction has something for everyone, and every winning bid contributes to our shared commitment to advancing women’s health.

Included in the evening’s program was an incredibly moving onstage interview with patient, Christy Persaud, of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women’s Allard Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Clinic. Christy’s story provided guests with insight into the need behind one of the causes this year’s gala will support.
