Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation

On May 30^th, the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation had the pleasure of supporting the annual Patient and Provider Experience Office (PPEO) Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) Summit, a day of appreciation for all healthcare workers, including front line staff, physicians, administration, leadership, and volunteers. With a focus on promoting well-being, motivation, happiness, and how these inspire self-confidence and motivate personal and professional growth, the PPEO Summit was a resounding success, making for an incredible day for those in attendance.

The PPEO Summit featured a long list of events, food, socialization, and a collection of insightful lectures and interactive breakout sessions. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from some notable speakers, including Bean Gill, who delivered a compelling talk on fostering inclusivity and understanding in the workplace; Jillian Schecher, who provided practical advice on achieving work-life balance, integrating self-awareness into a demanding career, aligning life with one’s values and desires, and exploring what joy means; and Dr. Fredrick Voon, who offered a standout presentation on finding happiness and practicing mindfulness amidst the challenges of healthcare.

All speakers were met with praise from the attendees, sharing deep appreciation for the informative and inspiring insights and ideas shared by those presenting.

The PPEO Summit was capped off with two noteworthy events to show appreciation for the incredible work of those in attendance: the relaunch of the “Amazing at The Alex” campaign, and the Patient and Provider Experience Award Presentation. Both honoured the outstanding contributions of healthcare workers, celebrating members in attendance who go above and beyond in their roles, and recognizing exceptional individuals and teams throughout the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Overall, the 2024 PPEO RAH Summit was a day of celebration, learning, and inspiration. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making it a truly exceptional event.
