Our Hospital, Our StoriesSave-On-Foods Mother’s Day Campaign Raises $86,537 for Women’s Health Initiatives

Save-On-Foods gave shoppers an extra reason to celebrate the special women in their lives this Mother’s Day.

The 2024 Save-On-Foods Bunches of Love Mother’s Day campaign ran from May 9th to 15th with 100% of net proceeds from the purchase of flowers going to support women’s health organizations across western Canada. This initiative raised an incredible $21,634 for the Alberta Women’s Health Foundation and tallied an impressive $86,537 total!

Investments in health research have a direct impact on health outcomes and although women represent more than half of the Canadian population, they remain substantially underrepresented in clinical research. Historically excluding women from medical research has led to compromised medical care as the female body responds differently than the male counterpart to disease and treatment.

We are extremely grateful that Save-On-Foods is leading such a powerful initiative by using their platform and influence to bring awareness and funding to women’s health research and care. Women of all ages and in all stages of life at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women will benefit from these funds that are the result of Save-On-Foods highly generous customers.

While Mom was looking out for you, you were looking out for her.
