You can make a tax-smart donation to support the Royal Alexandra Hospital by donating securities. 

It is a fast and easy way to donate. The area of care you designate receives the donation, and because the Royal Alex is one of the largest and busiest hospitals in western Canada, the healthcare of all Albertans also benefits.

HOW DOES IT WORK? 

The process is simple.

To make a gift of securities to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, simply follow these instructions:

1. Download, complete and send the Donation Form for Gifts of Publicly Traded Securities to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation and contact us to let us know to expect your donation. This form does not initiate transfer of securities, but it is an important first step in the process.

2. Contact your broker or financial advisor to initiate the transfer of your securities to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.

3. Once the transfer is complete, we will promptly send you the tax receipt for the value of your gift.

Thank you for your intention to donate a portion of your shares.

If you wish to donate for the end of the calendar year, we ask that you submit the Donation Form for Gifts of Publicly Traded Securities to your broker and to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation no later than December 5th. This will provide sufficient time for your donation to be processed and received before the end of the year.
